Spicing things up with some resin
I need to count how many 8x8 originals I have stacked up that I haven’t listed on here. There are a bunch. Well, minus a few now, because I did a little experiment, and we might be onto something, folks.
I wanted to try something to make these smaller pieces feel a little bit sturdier and easier to connect with. So, I took a risk, glued them to wooden canvases, and sealed the deal with some resin.
Am I super pumped about how they turned out? Yes, yes, and YES! It preserved the art, brought. richness to the colors and just accomplished all I wanted to accomplish with this (messy) venture into the realm of resin.
So, here are my first six panels. I am going to work on getting a new batch of 6 each month, and throw in a few 8x10’s in the mix, too. Maybe I’ll go crazy and do a larger piece, too.
They’re special. I love signing them and scribbling on the sides.
Also, I miraculously didn’t get any dog hair in them. Phew.
They are in the originals section in the shop, and I’ll put new ones in there as I finish them. And I’m doing my best to stay up to date, adding original, paper-only ones as I finish them too.
As for my desk? Consider it sealed in resin, too. By accident.
